Occupational Health & Safety

At Precision Mechanical Services we place the highest value on the health, safety and welfare of our employees, subcontractors and the community. Our commitment to providing a safe working environment for our employees, contractors, visitors, and members of the public makes us a leader in the mechanical services industry.

Management remains dedicated to the continued development and training of all employees, along with the provision of equipment and resources, so that all work may be completed safely and efficiently. Compliance with our Occupational Health & Safety workplace procedures and policies are of the utmost importance and our commitment to providing a safe working environment will not be compromised.

It is a responsibility of all Precision personnel, and contractors hired by Precision, to comply with Precision’s OHSE Management Plan. This Occupational Health Safety & Environment Management Plan has been developed by Precision Mechanical Services as part of the company’s commitment to the health, safety, rehabilitation and welfare of our employees, and others at our workplaces. All persons directing the work of others at our workplaces are required to join with employees and work together towards achieving and maintaining a high level of safety performance. Precision Mechanical Services is committed to protecting our employees by demonstrating a ‘Duty of Care’ through effective OH&S Safety systems and Risk Management strategies and the application of Industry-based Standard OH&S procedures. This plan meets the Victorian Government requirements of the Implementation Guidelines to the Victorian Code of Practice for the Building and Construction Industry, 2012. The participation of individual employees is integral to providing a safe workplace. All Precision employees have the responsibility to ensure that the work they undertake, or supervise, is carried out with a high regard to our safe work procedures to ensure a minimal risk of injury.

We have a strong commitment to consulting with our employees to identify health and safety concerns which may arise. As these concerns are raised immediate action is taken to ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times.

The successful implementation of this policy will be implemented by:

  • Providing OHS training and education on all aspects to safely complete tasks;
  • Reporting and recording of incidents, accidents, injuries and illnesses;
  • Providing OHS equipment, services and facilities;
  • Inspecting workplaces and evaluations;
  • Continually monitoring and changing work practices to suit;
  • Providing information to employees, contractors and sub-contractors
